Minn. Jury Reaches Defense Verdict for Conwed, Union Carbide

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A Minnesota jury has reached a defense verdict in a take-home exposure case, accepting state-of-the-art-based arguments asserted by the defendants during trial. Johnston v. A.W. Kuettel & Sons Inc., et al., No. 62-cv-097703 (Minn. 2nd Jud. Dist Ct., Ramsey Cty.).
The Minnesota Second Judicial District Court for the County of Ramsey jury reached its verdict on Feb. 25 after a three-week trial. Jurors deliberated for six hours before reaching the verdict.
The trial was presided over by Judge Dale B. Lindman. Conwed Corp. and Union Carbide Corp. were the lone remaining defendants at the time …
