La. Court Excludes Testimony of Wire and Cable Expert in Asbestos Case

NEW ORLEANS -- A Louisiana trial court has precluded the testimony of a wire and cable expert, in part finding that the expert failed to replicate the exact working conditions of the plaintiff, therefore making his testimony inadmissible. Walker, et al. v. Avondale Industries Inc., et al., No. 2003-3384 (La. Dist. Ct., Parish of Orleans).
The judgment, issued Feb. 11 by the Louisiana District Court for the Parish of Orleans, found fault with the expert's methodology, calling it "irrelevant" and "unreliable."
