AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas State Senate is debating a bill that would re-write admissibility standards for Texas asbestos cases for the second time in less than two years. Senate Bill 1123, Relating to the standard of causation in claims involving mesothelioma caused by exposure to asbestos fibers (Texas State Legislature).
Sources told HarrisMartin that a State Affairs committee hearing took place on March 23 and lasted for more than four hours. A vote is expected to take place on March 30, sources added.
