Zyprexa Judge Urges Congress to Extend Class Action Rules to MDLs

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A federal judge, in the midst of considering whether some 2,000 Zyprexa claims should be remanded to state court, has taken the opportunity to call on Congress to extend the Class Action Fairness Act to some MDL actions, such as those involving pharmaceutical claims. In re: Zyprexa Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1596 (E.D. N.Y.).
