Accutane MDL Court Won't Lift Protective Order from Defendants' Drug Dosing Documents

TAMPA, Fla. - The magistrate judge presiding over discovery in the Accutane MDL denied on Dec. 5 a plaintiffs' motion to remove the confidentiality of drug dosing documents that they had argued revealed 'the [willful] and knowing excessive dosing of isotretinoin by the Defendants.' In Re: Accutane Products Liability Litigation. MDL No. 1626. Case No. 8:04-md-02523 (M.D. Fla.).

Magistrate Judge Thomas B. McCoun III of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida said the plaintiffs had sought an order allowing the public release of the dosing documents.
