BOSTON - An employee benefits organization, an advocacy group and two senior citizens filed a class action complaint against Pfizer Inc. on Sept. 28 claiming that the pharmaceutical manufacturer created an 'artificial demand' for its cholesterol drug Lipitor by saying that Lipitor reduces the risk of heart disease in women and the elderly. Teamsters Local No. 35 Health Plans, et al. v. Pfizer Inc. No. 05-11956 (D. Mass.).
