Tenn. Woman Sues Pfizer, Links Breast Cancer to Femhrt®

KNOXVILLE, TENN. - A Tennessee woman diagnosed with breast cancer at age 44 filed a lawsuit against Pfizer on Dec. 1, alleging the cancer was caused by her use of the hormone replacement drug Femhrt. Campbell v. Pfizer, No. 3:04-cv-00592 (E.D. Tenn.).

The case was originally filed in the Tennessee Circuit Court in for Knox County but Pfizer removed the case to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee on Dec. 16, based on diversity jurisdiction.
