LOS ANGELES — A California federal judge has remanded a lawsuit accusing Arthrex Inc. of misrepresenting the safety and efficacy of its SwiveLock shoulder implant system and failing to adequately test the device before aggressively marketing it to surgeons.

In a March 4 order, Judge Otis D. Wright II of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California found the plaintiff has asserted viable claims against in-state medical provider defendants.
