505 Active Cases Pending on BHR MDL Docket, According to Recent Filing

BALTIMORE — According to a recent submission by Smith & Nephew Inc., there are 505 active cases pending on the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing multidistrict litigation docket in Maryland federal court.

According to a Dec. 26 submission filed before Judge Catherine Blake of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, 365 of the cases involve the of the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing Femoral Head and the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing Acetabular Cup.
