Jury Selection Begins in 1st Bellwether Bard IVC Filter Action; Trial Set for March 13




PHOENIX - Jury selection has begun in the first bellwether IVC filter lawsuit, in which the plaintiff accuses C.R. Bard of negligently designing its IVC filters and failing to warn doctors and the public of the devices' risks, including perforation of the inferior vena cava and migration.

Judge David G. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, issued an order for jury selection in the case, which is scheduled to go to trial on March 13.
