N.J. High Court Asked to Classify Abilify Compulsive Behavior Cases as Multi-County Litigation

TRENTON, N.J. — The parties in 42 pending Abilify compulsive behavior cases have asked a New Jersey state court to classify the actions as a multi-county litigation for centralized management, arguing that the litigation involves common, recurrent issues of law and fact.

According to a Dec. 27 notice, the New Jersey Supreme Court has received the parties’ application, in which they ask that the cases remain before Judge James J. DeLuca in the Bergen County Superior Court. The application addresses cases in which plaintiffs allege their use of Abilify caused them to engage in compulsive behaviors, including gambling.
