Plaintiffs Ask Court to Enter $1 Billion Judgment in 6 Pinnacle Hip Implant Cases

DALLAS –– The plaintiffs asserting Pinnacle Hip Implant claims against DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. and Johnson & Johnson who were recently awarded more than $1 billion total by a jury has asked that the court enter judgment on the jury’s verdict.
In the Dec. 20 motion for judgment on the verdict, the plaintiffs additionally asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas to award pre-judgment interest on the actual damages awards at a rate of 10 percent per annum from the date of their Sept. 9, 2016 settlement offer to the date the judgment is satisfied.
