JPML Denies Motion to Vacate Transfer Order in Biomet Settlement Dispute Action

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has denied a motion to vacate a transfer order of a Biomet plaintiff, saying that although the underlying claims now involve a dispute over a settlement agreement, the claims still belong in the coordinated docket.

The panel said in its Dec. 8 order that transferring the action will ensure that all similarly situated settlement disputes will be resolved consistently.
