CHICAGO –– The court overseeing the federal coordinated docket for product liability claims arising out of Zimmer’s NexGen Knee Implant has issued a case management order, asking the plaintiffs to supplement their fact sheets with medical records establishing loosening of femoral and tibial components.

In the Dec. 10 Case Management Order No. 8, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois further said that if such a record does not exist, plaintiff’s counsel can provide written certification to defense lead counsel that there is a “good faith basis for recommending continued prosecution of the matter within MDL 2272.”
