CONCORD, New Hampshire - A woman has sued the maker of a recalled insulin infusion set, alleging that the defective device did not deliver enough insulin to her insulin pump, causing her to collapse while at work. Makely v. Medtronic Inc., No. 1:2010-506 (D. N.H.).
The suit was removed to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire on Nov. 1.
According to the complaint, initially filed in the Belknap County (N.H.) Superior Court, Doris Makely had a Medtronic insulin pump installed subcutaneously on her abdomen in February 2009. The pump required Makely to use a Medtronic infusion …
