TRENTON, N.J. - A New Jersey federal judge has dismissed Wisconsin state-law fraud and negligent misrepresentation claims brought against Bristol Myers Squibb-Co. and Sanofi-Aventis U.S. Inc. in connection with their marketing and sale of the anti-blood clotting drug Plavix. Moscinski v. Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., et al., No. 06-6055 (D. N.J.).

In a Dec. 30 order, Judge Freda L. Wolfson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey ruled that the claims did not meet the pleading requirements of Federal Rule of Procedure 9(b). However, she allowed plaintiffs to amend the complaint to cure the deficiencies outlined by …
