Celebrex Plaintiff Can't Proceed with Legal Malpractice Claim

AUSTIN, Texas - A state appeals court has affirmed a ruling for a Texas law firm that was sued by a former client and Celebrex plaintiff for failing to file medical malpractice claims against his prescribing physicians. Hackett v. Littlepage & Booth, et al., No. 03-08-00056-CV (Texas Ct. App., 3rd Dist.).

The Third District Texas Court of Appeals ruled Jan. 16 that the Travis County District Court did not err when it granted no evidence summary judgment motions in favor of the firm after excluding evidence that Celebrex had anything to do with the plaintiff Mark Hackett's alleged kidney injury.
