11th Circuit Grants Extensions for Filing Briefs in Camp Lejeune Appeal; Dismisses One Plaintiff for Failure to File Timely Appendix




ATLANTA –– The 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has granted extensions for filing briefs to those appealing the dismissal of Camp Lejeune water contamination personal injury claims, in addition to dismissing the appeal of one plaintiff who allegedly did not file an appendix within the required time frame.

That plaintiff has since moved the 11th Circuit to reinstate his appeal, according to court documents. In a separate order issued June 12, the appellate court allowed plaintiff Erica Y. Bryant until Aug. 18 to file her brief.
