WASHINGTON, D.C. — Online contact lens retailer Lens.com has asked the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to centralize five putative class actions accusing it of luring customers with false pricing and then “knowingly inflating its costs” with extra charges that appear at the point of sale.

In a Feb. 7 motion, Lens.com argues that all of the lawsuits, which were filed within a few weeks of each other in five different states, are all based on the same facts and involve the same alleged misconduct, warranting coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings.
