Pa. State Court Denies Defense Efforts to Transfer Venue in Asbestos Talc Case

PITTSBURGH –– A Pennsylvania state court has denied a defense motion to transfer an asbestos talc exposure suit, rejecting the defendants’ position that the discovery of employment records in a neighboring county justified transfer.

The Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County denied the defense motion in a one-page order issued on Nov. 22. The order came shortly after the plaintiffs opposed the transfer efforts, arguing that the defendants are presenting conjecture concerning possible evidence of other asbestos exposure.
