ST. LOUIS –– Plaintiffs whose talcum powder claims were removed to Missouri federal court have asked the court to stay the proceedings or, in the alternative, for leave to initiate discovery on personal jurisdiction, saying the defense motion to dismiss “raises complex issues of fact and law” that will require “substantial discovery.”

The plaintiffs have argued that the defendants are “well aware” that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri lacked subject-matter jurisdiction.
