TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida federal judge has dismissed an action filed by a beer distributor seeking insurance coverage for its products that spoiled after Disney closed its parks and resorts in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, ruling that the complaint did not sufficiently allege a covered cause of loss.

In the Oct. 9 order, Judge Paul G. Byron of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida said Harvest Moon Distributors LLC may file an amended complaint against Southern-Owners Insurance Co. by Oct. 23.
