Parties in Federal Applied Underwriters Dispute Reach Settlement in Principle




SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The parties to a dispute involving Applied Underwriters Inc.’s workers’ compensation program and related reinsurance participation agreement have told a California federal judge that they agreed in principle to settle the matter.

In a July 26 docket note, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California said a scheduled mediation in the case never took place due to the parties’ agreement.
