DENVER — A Colorado federal judge has stayed a breach of contract action filed against a life insurer pending a reinsurer’s appeal of the court’s denial of its motion to intervene in the case.
In a Jan. 9 order, Judge William Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado said a stay is warranted because the issue of the reinsurer’s intervention impacts the litigation as a whole.
