Applied Underwriters Says it Disclosed Information in Promoting Workers’ Comp Program

HARTFORD, Conn. — Applied Underwriters Inc. (AUI) and its affiliates have refuted a policyholder’s allegations that they violated Connecticut insurance laws in promoting their EquityComp workers’ compensation program, arguing that they disclosed the material information in their program materials.

In a May 11 answer filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, defendants also assert that the policyholder’s allegations are time-barred and that the action should be dismissed with prejudice.
