Judge Resets Deadlines in Conn. Federal Applied Underwriters Workers’ Comp Dispute




BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Connecticut federal judge has agreed to reset pretrial deadlines in a dispute arising from a series of workers’ compensation insurance and reinsurance contracts pending Applied Underwriters Captive Risk Assurance Company Inc.’s motion for reconsideration of a venue ruling.

On Dec. 22, Judge Stephan Underhill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut suspended his April 26 order on pretrial deadlines, reset the current pretrial deadlines, and deferred the Rule 26(f) joint scheduling order and conference until 30 days after AUCRA’s motion for reconsideration has been resolved.
