N.Y. Federal Judge Makes Evidentiary Rulings in Reinsurance Case Scheduled for Trial

UTICA, N.Y. — A New York federal judge has made a number of evidentiary rulings in a reinsurance action set for trial this month, holding in part that former Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. employee Garrett Redmond may not testify as an expert witness because he does not have first-hand knowledge of the contracts at issue.
