Reinsurers Oppose Utica Mutual’s Motion for Reconsideration of Law Firm Disqualification Order

ALBANY, N.Y. — Two reinsurers have opposed Utica Mutual Insurance Co.’s motion for reconsideration of an order denying its motion for summary judgment on a counterclaim seeking to bar the law firm of Hunton & Williams from representing Utica in an arbitration.

In their opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, Employer’s Insurance Company of Wausau and National Casualty Co. assert that Utica “merely reiterates its incorrect arguments from the summary judgment stage” in its motion.
