SAN FRANCISCO — Under Nevada law, a plaintiff in an insurance contract dispute is entitled to collect post-award, prejudgment interest on the non-contract damages portion of an arbitration award from the date of the award through the date of payment, the 9th Circuit U.S. Court has ruled.

The appellate court further held that the plaintiff is entitled to collect post-judgment interest on the post-award, prejudgment interest from the date of this opinion until the date the insurer pays the interest.
