Insco Seeks Reconsideration of Freeborn & Peters' Disqualification

NEW YORK - Insco Ltd. has asked a federal judge to reconsider his decision to ban Freeborn & Peters from representing it in a pending arbitration with Northwestern National Insurance Co., arguing that the judge "overlooked or misapprehended" key facts concerning the law firm's alleged violation of ethical guidelines. Northwestern National Insurance Co. v. Insco Ltd., No. 11-1124 (S.D. N.Y.).

The reinsurer further asserted in the Oct. 17 motion that newly-discovered testimony of its former arbitrator Dale Diamond "establishes that other factual conclusions on which the court based its decision were incorrect."
