SCRANTON, Pa. - An excess insurer is not required to produce reinsurance information in a coverage action because it would not aid in the interpretation of the excess policy terms, a Pennsylvania federal judge has ruled. TIG Insurance Co. v. Tyco International Ltd., et al., No. 08-1584 (M.D. Pa.).

On Nov. 12, Judge A. Richard Caputo of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania found that the interpretation of certain policy terms by TIG and its reinsurers has little bearing on the dispute at issue.
