Alliant Says No MGA Contract Existed with AMIC

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Alliant Insurance Services Inc. has moved for summary judgment in a suit accusing it of failing to properly transmit $1.88 million in losses to reinsurers, arguing that it was not acting as a managing general agent and was thus not obligated to ensure timely payment by the reinsurers.
