Del. Benzene Docket Reassigned for the 2nd Time in 2 Years

WILMINGTON, Del. -- A new judge has been assigned to oversee Delaware's coordinated benzene docket, according to an order entered on Jan. 18 in the state's Superior Court for New Castle County. In re: Benzene Litigation, No. 06C-BEN-1 (Del. Super. Ct., New Castle Cty.).

In the one-page order, the docket was reassigned to Judge Jan R. Jurden, effective Jan. 1.

Judge Joseph R. Slights III had been overseeing the docket since March 2006, when Judge Susan C. Del Pesco was asked to step down because of her husband's involvement with DuPont, sources told HarrisMartin at the time.
