ATLANTA -- An intermediate appellate court in Georgia has agreed to hear oral arguments in a benzene case asserted by an Alabama resident, who is seeking a declaration from the court that the action is timely in a state other than Alabama. Griffin v. Hunt Refining Co., et al., No. A08A0417 (Ga. Ct. App.).
The Georgia Court of Appeals granted the request for oral argument on Nov. 2 and has scheduled argument for Feb. 6, 2008.
Sources told HarrisMartin that the dispute was originally filed in the Georgia Supreme Court because the plaintiff contended that a constitutional issue was involved. …
