Hearing Scheduled for Motion to Exclude Exponent Witnesses

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A West Virginia federal court has scheduled a hearing for Dec. 7 to address a plaintiff motion seeking the preclusion of Exponent experts they anticipate Monsanto will identify. Brewer v. Monsanto Co., et al., No. 05-01183 (S.D. W.Va.).

In a Nov. 12 reply brief, plaintiff Mary Lou Brewer supported her motion to preclude Monsanto from calling Exponent experts to testify, saying that "the discovery of the financial incentives to Exponent and its employees and the past relationship between Monsanto and Exponent is clearly reasonably calculated."
