KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- A Tennessee couple that recently re-filed their benzene claims are slated to take part in a scheduling conference on Oct. 31, according to recent court filings. McCarter, et al. v. Amoco Oil Co., et al., No. 06-141 (E.D. Tenn.).

According to the Oct. 11 notice filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the scheduling conference, which will address Rule 26(f) planning and whether mediation is appropriate, will be overseen by Judge Thomas W. Phillips.
