Benzene Plaintiffs Claim They are Subject to an Increased Risk of AML

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- In a recently filed benzene lawsuit, plaintiffs assert that exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons have led to the development of myelodysplastic syndrome and, subsequently, an increased risk of acute myelogenous leukemia. Hill v. Nazdar Corp., et al., No. 05 CI 09328 (Ky. Cir. Ct., Jefferson Cty.).

The Oct. 28 complaint, filed in the Kentucky Circuit Court for Jefferson County, asserts causes of action for negligence, breach of warranty, strict liability and loss of consortium.
