CHARLESTON, S.C. –– U.S. Steel has moved to exclude the testimony of a plaintiff expert in a benzene case, maintaining that the expert’s cumulative exposure calculation was not based on facts or evidence in the case, but rather on assumptions or extrapolations.

In a July 10 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, U.S. Steel maintained that the testimony of Robert Laumbach, M.D., MPH, CIH does not satisfy Daubert standards
