Benzene Defendants Remove Lawsuit of Pressman to Alabama Federal Court, Cite Diversity Jurisdiction

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –– Several defendants have moved the benzene case of a former pressman, citing diversity jurisdiction in light of the fact that the plaintiffs are citizens of a different state than each of the defendants.

In the Aug. 24 notice, the defendants removed the complaint to the U.S. District for the Northern District of Alabama and noted that four recently added defendants also do not have principal places of business in the state.
