Parties in Upcoming Benzene Case Slated for Trial Reach Settlement Agreement

PHILADELPHIA –– Parties remaining in a benzene suit brought on behalf of a former steam fitter have reached a settlement agreement just days before trial was scheduled to begin, according to the court’s online docket.

Separate stipulations of dismissal were filed on Jan. 17 in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County concerning defendants Hess Corp., and Frank Lill & Son.

In a Jan. 22 docket entry, the court noted that the case had been settled and that the proceeding should be “removed from the applicable list and inventory of pending cases.”
