Wisconsin Court Schedules August 2014 Trial in Benzene Case

MILWAUKEE –– An August 2014 trial has been scheduled in a benzene case that was recently remanded back to a Wisconsin federal court after an appellate court reversed a dismissal order.

According to the Dec. 5 amended scheduling order issued by the Eastern District of Wisconsin, parties must file in limine motions by May 19, while responses are due the first week of June.

The underlying claims were brought on behalf of Donald Schultz. Schultz’s work as a painter for American Motors Corp., now known as Chrysler, required him to work with benzene-containing paint products, including ones manufactured by Akzo …
