COLUMBIA, S.C. –– Several defendants have opposed a recent motion to amend a benzene complaint, arguing that the plaintiffs have not produced “one single document” to support their recent claim that new details have arisen as to the potential liability of a parts washer defendant.

In the opposition brief, filed Dec. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, the defendants maintain that the “new details” were available when the case was removed to federal court.
