Valspar Says Its Contribution to Defense Against Benzene Claims Should be Factored into Equitable Allocation of Defense Costs

MINNEAPOLIS –– Benzene defendant Valspar contends in a recent brief filed in an insurance dispute over coverage for underlying benzene litigation that more than $67,000 it contributed to its own defense should be factored into the equitable allocation of defense costs.

In an Oct. 25 supplemental brief in support of the amount of contribution filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, Valspar says that the amounts that it paid for its own defense should not be ignored.
