Parties in Roxana Benzene Contamination Cases Agree to Protective Order

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. –– The parties involved in cases asserting claims for alleged benzene contamination that occurred in an Illinois village have reached an agreement on a protective order, according to a recent agreed motion.

In the agreed motion, filed Nov. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, the parties said that since 2012, the lack of a protective order has impeded discovery efforts since the parties disagreed as to confidential designations.

The parties submitted the proposed protective order to the District Court separately.
