La. Court Holds Pre-trial Conference in Benzene Reimbursement Case Recently Re-Opened

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has scheduled an April 2014 bench trial for a case involving cross-claims asserted by one benzene defendant against another.

In the Sept. 19 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana also asked the parties to submit any in limine motions at least 28 days prior to trial.

In August, the District Court granted a motion to re-open the recently dismissed case, after Settoon Towing LLC argued that it intended to file cross-claims against Cenac Towing LLC.
