NEW ORLEANS -- A defendant named in a benzene complaint has filed a third-party lawsuit against the decedent's former employers, contending that agreements executed for contract work requires the employers to defend and indemnify the premises owner. Ventress, et al. v. Radiator Specialty Co., et al., No. 11-1419 (E.D. La.).

On Dec. 12, the Dow Chemical Co. filed a third-party complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Hebert Brothers Engineers Inc., Turner Industries LLC and Jacobs Field Services North America Inc., contending that the three defendants entered into contracts with Dow Chemical agreeing to …
