Settlement Reached in Case Involving Benzene Exposure to Safety-Kleen's 150 Solvent

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The parties involved in a lawsuit that alleged benzene exposure led to the development of myelodysplastic syndrome have reached a confidential settlement, sources confirmed to HarrisMartin. Quillen v. Safety-Kleen Systems Inc., No. 07-00067 (E.D. Ky.).

The settlement was reflected in a June order entered in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, which stated that counsel had advised that a settlement had been accomplished.

An agreed order of dismissal was entered June 10.
