Texas Parties File Joint Motion to Extend Discovery Deadline

HOUSTON -- The parties involved in a multiple myeloma benzene case have filed a joint motion to extend the discovery deadline, saying that while they wish to extend the deadline by three-and-a-half months, this action will not constitute a continuance of the scheduled trial date. Brown v. Shell Oil Co., et al., No. 08-413 (S.D. Texas).
In the Jan. 22 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the parties ask that the deadline for discovery be pushed back from Jan. 15 to May 1.
