Shell Defendants File Expert Witness Designations

HOUSTON -- Benzene defendants in a case pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas have claimed in a recent filing that the plaintiffs have yet to designate experts or provide experts reports, despite an Oct. 1 deadline to do so. Brown v. Shell Oil Co., et al., No. 08-00413 (S.D. Texas).

In a Dec. 12 amended designation of expert witnesses, the Shell defendants -- including Shell Oil Co. and Shell Chemical LP -- gave notice that they may call as expert witnesses Ethan A. Natelson, M.D., David Pyatt, Ph.D., Kenneth A. Mundt, Ph.D.
