California Jury Rejects Claims of 27-Year Old Meso Plaintiff

LOS ANGELES -- A California jury has accepted an asbestos defendant's argument that asbestos-containing pipe debris was not on its premises, in turn rejecting a 27-year old plaintiff's contention that he developed mesothelioma after visiting his father, who worked for the company. Jauregui v. Valley Crest Tree Company, No. BC366693 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).

The Los Angeles County Superior Court jury reached the 11-1 verdict on Sept. 21 after less than two hours of deliberations, sources said.
